Oleg Pissarenko is an Estonian composer and pianist for whom the creation of music and the creation of space for it are part of the same, inseparable practice. For over twenty years, his work has evolved between the stage and the development of the jazz landscape—from founding landmark festivals and music hubs in Estonia to building cultural bridges between the Baltic and the Mediterranean.
This path is defined by a consistent search for presence. Over time, his expression has distilled from the electric energy of jazz guitar into the acoustic resonance and silence of the piano. From his early large-scale projects to current collaborations in Milan, he views the music and the environment in which it is experienced as a single, unified field.
A recipient of the Order of the White Star and the Musician of the Year award, his work today is an invitation to stop time—creating a space where being truly present becomes possible.
